Snow, Snow and more snow......

OK I know I am really behind with this. Here's the thing I have been having some problems with my computer - from network to system problems. All is fixed now and so I am gonna play catch up here.

As you all know we got slammed the week before Christmas with a blizzard. I like to call it my birthday blizzard since IT CAME ON MY BIRTHDAY AND SCREWED UP ALL MY PLANS!!

So here is what greeted me when I opened my front door - that thing covered in snow is my truck my very BIG truck:

How good does that look to sit on...lol

I love all of our big trees but love them more when they are covered in snow:

OK so here goes Steve with a shovel....lol

Since this I have gone out and purchased him the proper attire to deal with this situation. Yes that is a scarf wrapped around his head:

He thought the dogs were going to help...

They got one look at this white stuff and took off to play....

So now Steve catches Dexter and is trying to yell at Chloe to follow him...lol You had to be there to see this it was hysterical.

Chloe just kinda said screw you and took off again....lol She was meant to play in this stuff.

Look Dexter looks sad only because Steve is making him sit there while he is forced to watch Chloe prance around - also because Dexter wasn't able to hop through the snow as easily as Chloe was:

OK she's done....for now

Here comes the calvary.....OK it's only Louis but he had a BIG machine with him...

Steve get outta the way - you ain't shoveling quicker then that thing and Lou is closing in...

insert that Tim "the toolman" Taylor grunt. Steve turned to me and said "you think Santa can leave one of these under the tree for me?" He did - it's so purty!

There's just so much snow you can't even see Lou in this:

OK here we go the dressing begins....

An hour later:

Steve asked if I purposedly dressed Sophia to look like the kid from A CHRISTMAS STORY....lol

Sophia loved it!

Yeahhhhh Snow!!!

this was 30 min after being in the snow - Sophia didn't understand what happened to her hands:

"Well he's lost his penis"

Those are 5 words I don't think you want or expect to hear. Anthony had his check-up today and came in weighing a whopping 15 lbs. Do I need to remind you people he is just over 3 months old! When the Dr. asked me if I had any questions or concerns I mentioned that Steve was concerned with his son's penis....or rather a lack of one...lol

Turns out due to Anthony's chubbiness his penis has sorta went into hiding. Not to worry it will reappear as he grows and as he starts losing some of his fat. The Dr. reassured us we would be happy with the end result :) Just what every mother wants to be proud of!

"Mom I am so not fat and stop telling people that"

"I lost WHAT....wait a minute let me check I know it has to be there"

"Look I can suck it in - no more rolls"

Nightmare of a morning turns into a Fantastic Day had by all!

Rain pouring rain - the kind that comes at you sideways - that is what I had to deal with yesterday trying to get out of the house and into the city. Lil' Steven went in with Big Steve in the wee hours of the morning. So that left me to get Bella and Sophia to Grandma's and me, Samantha and Anthony onto the train. After the craziness of the morning by the time I sat my butt in the seat on the train I was dripping wet. I literally was able to ring out my hair. This was not a good start and now I needed to be in the city with the 3 kids IN THE RAIN. There is no way this was gonna end happily.

Well I couldn't have been more wrong. By the time the train pulled into Penn Station the rain had stopped and it was warm. I held my breath trying to get to Steve's office just waiting for the skies to open up but not a drop. We decide to take our chances and walk down 5th Avenue. Where were all the people?!?! The city was empty! We casually moved around with ease. Got to see the tree without a crowd of insanity. Walked down all of 5th Avenue and not one person bumped into me. Took our time looking at all the holiday windows. It was perfect! We had lunch at the Rockefeller Center Cafe which is around the rink. So we ate lunch and watched all the skaters. Steve's highlight was watching a guy fall flat on his face and then excitedly explain to me in detail as they picked him up and he was bleeding and they had to take him off the ice. It's the little things.

We ended the day watching the Radio City Music Show with the Rockettes. The kids sat on the edge of their seat the whole time. Lil Steven was the most excited to see it which surprised Steve and I. It's true what they say - it really was a great experience watching thru the eyes of your children.

Just a few pics from our day....

I was having camera issues - but trust me the TREE is fantastic this year!

See practically empty - look at the people move about

Really this is not normal to not have a crowd here. All the rain kept people away and it worked out in our favor. By the time we were done with lunch the sun came out!

It's really not Christmas time until I see the big red balls....lol

This was a great display:

The kids are getting a closer look at the ice skaters during lunch:

Inside Tiffany's. Now my sweet little boy went up to his Daddy and said he loved the carpet and would like some for the house. He is gonna make an awesome husband and or interior decorator :)

OK now it wouldn't be fair if I didn't end this with what was a perfect ending to my day. As I said earlier I was having camera problems. For the past 2 days my camera has been dead. Last night when we came home I thought it would have fixed itself but sadly it was still dead. Then magically a brand new camera appeared on my desk. Leave to that husband of mine. I told him I didn't want a new camera 100 times over. I was fine with mine and didn't need an upgrade. So let me just say this - I am sooo glad he didn't listen to me cause this new camera is freakin AMAZING!!!! I love it - thanks babe for, again, doing the complete opposite of what I asked.

WOW it's December 8th

Where has the time gone?!?! Wasn't yesterday just the middle of June. I've been busy busy busy. December is my most favorite month. It's Christmas and my birthday! Love it! Samantha and Steven are finally old enough for the Christmas Spectacular show at Radio City. So we are leaving Bella and Sophia home to play with Grandma and Grandpa for the day and heading into the city. It will also be Anthony's first trip into the big city! I hope he enjoys all the lights and sounds. I am excited to see the tree this year it really looks like a great one! I say that every year but I really think this year is the one!

I promise to take plenty of pictures and post them when I get home!

Took a break from decorating for a walk....

I give Steve the camera and he just takes pictures randomly because he likes the "non-posed" pictures the best. Well this is definitely not posed but Anthony sure looks like he knew what he was doing. Oh and YES he is very comfortable!

Here's a posed one - the quality isn't great due to the fact that I had the camera on the wrong setting.

Sammy whammy - posing...lol

We met up with those other Pepe's while on our walk. I tell ya were taking over this town there is just to many of us - kinda posed....

really posed and quite good if I don't say so myself :)

OK enough of that - back to decorating. Have a mentioned how very angry I am with the tree this year and the fact that it wasn't put away properly last year and none of the branches are labeled. I have no one to blame but........no not Steve this time - just me.

I never read these

forwards I get in an email but Virginia sent this one earlier and I felt compelled to share

MORAL FOR TODAY

One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a
well. The animal cried piteously for hours as
the farmer tried to figure out what to do.

Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the
well needed to be covered up anyway;
it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey.

He invited all his neighbors to come over and
help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began
to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the
donkey realized what was happening and cried
horribly. Then, to everyone's amazement he
quieted down.

A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally
looked down the well. He was astonished at what
he saw. With each shovel of dirt that hit his
back, the donkey was doing something amazing.
He would shake it off and take a step up.

As the farmer's neighbors continued to shovel
dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it
off and take a step up.

Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey
stepped up over the edge of the well and
happily trotted off!

Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds
of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well
is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of
our troubles is a steppingstone. We can get out
of the deepest wells just by not stopping,
never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up.

Remember the five simple rules to be happy:

Free your heart from hatred - Forgive.

Free your mind from worries - Most never happen.

Live simply and appreciate what you have.

Give more.

Expect less

NOW .......

Enough of that crap . The donkey later came back,
and bit the farmer who had tried to bury him.
The gash from the bite got infected and
the farmer eventually died in agony from septic shock.

MORAL FROM TODAY'S LESSON:

When you do something wrong, and try to cover
your ass, it always comes back to bite you

My Beautiful 8 yr old

Happy Halloween

Have you ever seen a cuter monkey?!?!?!

Just one picture from Bella's Halloween party at school. She lead the class in the parade - according to the teachers she was the most confident one of the group and was excited to lead all the kids into a room filled with all the parents. She had such a big grin the whole time

OK first we had a busy Halloween morning. Sam had a 9:30 soccer game which she played hard in. The kid was covered in mud from head to toe. It was awesome! Steven then had an 11am game which I unfortunately missed because Sophia needed a nap. Turns out it was the best game he's had all season. Steve said he played like a mad man. Only 6 kids showed up so they all had to play the entire 40min. He scored 1 goal and had 1 assist. Steve said it was a crazy game. From soccer Steven had swimming at 12:30 which we told him to miss but he didn't want to. When he got home we rushed to get dressed and we hurried over to Lou and Gin's.

This would be how Lou came out to meet us to start the trick or treating:

See Steve trying to look like the liquor was such a bad idea (oh of course the kids have no idea)....

It wasn't a bad idea he just needed me to take the baby so he could start pouring :) I will say this every parent we passed all had some sort of "ice tea" concealed in their cups. Of course we can take our kids trick or treating without drinking but why should they have all the fun....lol

This is sad but this is the only picture I got with 4 of the 5 kids...lol I didn't realize until the night was over that I got no pictures of them

Here are the 3 musketeers. Bella, Jamie and Sophia.

Sophia getting a ride

The wagon not being comfy enough Daddy's shoulders were perfect - not a clear picture but it was a "cute" picture

It was only just the beginning:
