Because you BBQ in the rain......

is why your the greatest Dad in the world! It's your daughters 4th birthday and you are up to your neck with more work than ever and you took a break to party for a bit and had to BBQ in the rain. Not just a little rain either this was buckets and buckets of rain that went on until you were done cooking. Sure I will remember all the BIG things - like the look on your face when Samantha was born. She was the first and she was what you had waited for. I will remember how proud you were when we got Steven's IQ tests back and you knew he would be just as smart as you! I will remember how excited you were when you cheered Bella on when her training wheels finally came off and she was able to ride down the block without falling off her bike. I'll remember how strong you were when Sophia was born and she had to go into the NICU and for those first few days you took care of me and that baby and I looked for you to tell me what was going on with her and it was because of you that I didn't completely lose it. I will remember the look of panic on your face when you came to find me after I left you that note on your desk that told you there would be 1 more. After you were able to breath again you gave me that look the one that say's "Cheryl you are outta your mind what are you getting me into again god I must love you like crazy to let you talk me into this". You give me that look ALOT! Hey it's that look that is gonna keep you young and full of life!

So like I said I'll always remember the BIG things but it's the little things, like BBQing in the rain at your daughter's 4th birthday party, that make me love you even more. It's those little things that remind me that my kids really do have THE BEST DAD IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD and I am lucky that they share you with me! They are good sharers!

It has been a full month so far. Very busy with all the kids end of the year activities! Steven's last day of school is tomorrow and Bella has a concert on Wednesday. That she may or may not make since I have just spent the last 4 hours in the ER because she fell down the stairs NOT OURS and hurt her arm the same one she fractured last year. So off to the orthopedic in the am.

Dance recital was a BIG success! Sophia stole the show!! She graduates on Friday from nursery school. Her school is closing so it will be a bittersweet day. I have one more kid that needed to go there and now he won't get the chance.

I just finished wrapping and putting the finishing touches on teacher gifts for Steven's teachers. I got the kids in his class these cool brain teaser shaped puzzles they are gonna love!!

Getting excited for summer - it's gonna be a fun filled one this year not that it isn't every year but I just know this year it will be. We have lots of fun planned!!
